Hello Everyone!
« on: 08 February 2010, 02:30 »

I would like to introduce myself. For the last month, my partner and fellow club member and I have been involved in the purchase of N292WM, Serial No. 15076 a beautiful 15B that is only thirty-nine years old! She's got just 2,700 hours on her and needs some cosmetic work, but I know she's a real lady in the air. Yesterday, we brought it home to Charleston, SC. It is ours!

Needless to say, we are very excited and are looking forward to our first flight - perhaps next weekend as our club, The Lowcountry Soaring Association located in Ridgeland, SC flies year round. GH will be stationed there.

Neither of us have ever flown a 15 before and we have limited glider experience, but we have enjoyed reading the comments here in the Forum that point to a ship without surprises (the negative kind anyway), that's easy to assemble, that's appropriate for low-time glider pilots and that's a pleasure to fly! I guess we will find out for ourselves soon.

I would like to thank Johan for his hard work putting this site together and maintaining it for our benefit. The information derived from it helped us tremendously and gave us the confidence to go ahead and become proud ASW-15 owners.

Best regards,

Morelle

And did you fly your ship already?
