Assembly checklist
« on: 21 January 2010, 20:13 »

As a new ASW 15b owner I'm looking for an assembly checklist (more detail than in the POH). Has anyone developed one? If so, would you be willing to share?

thanks
Tom

That would be nice. Don't wait for me, since the flying season is still 2 months away. :'(

I've developed a first draft assembly checklist.  I still need to verify it and develop a similar checklist for one man rigging.  I welcome any comments or changes and please feel free to use it as appropriate.

Hi Tom.
Great idea and good work.
Just a suggestion. You could add that it will be a good idea to attach a piece of soft fabric, carpet or artificial sheepskin in the bottom of the trailer before you pull out the plane. In that way you eliminate the risk of scratching or otherwise damaging the bottom of the fuselage if you put it down too soon. Dependant of your trailer you can use the same idea in the critical areas on the trailer, the wings or the fuselage.
Happy soaring
