IHP

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and have an initial question that German pilots might answer (since, I guess, this only applies only to Germans in this form):

Does anybody have made experience with the new IHP (Instandhaltungsprogramm) that we need to submit to the LBA now? I need to register an ASW15B and have to go through this process. Any help is welcome. It would be great if someone of you has a submitted / approved IHP for a 15 that I can use as a template. I know that the standard forms can be downloaded from the LBA website. But a form that is already filled out (possible approved) would make my life a lot easier.

We own a dutch registered ASW-15B so we have a dutch version, but we are all under EASA regulations here in europe. I will ask my co-owner for our version. I think you can work it out with google translate.

Thanks! But I'm not sure if this is the same in the Netherlands. In addition to the regular registration form, we (in Germany) need to fill out a new IHP (maintenance program). This is quite new and mandatory for all new registrations (as well as for all planes until 2013). Putting this maintenance program together is quite a lot of work. That is why you can find already filled out and approved templates in other forums (e.g., Segelflug.de) - but only for other planes. I wasn't lucky to find one for the ASW-15. Anyway, it seems that I have to bite through this myself now. If I'm done, I will post the form to the forum. It might, at least, help the German part of the community.

We are talking about an ARC, right? And yes, that's a lot of work. We made one, with a lot of help of our club technician, last year.

No. The ARC is the regular annual check. The IHP is a general maintainance program that we have to define / propose and get approved in advance. It includes regular maintainance work in individual periods for all essential parts and instrumens - including lists of individual maintainance documenents, etc. The IHP is basically (only) a form that has to be filled out and approved.

I'm pretty sure we have that too. I made an unofficial maintenance program some years ago. As I recall correctly (the other owners do the administrative tasks), the maintenance program must comply to the new EASA rules. So we have a new certified maintenance program. It's at the max 2 years old.

Maybe you have a similar form. You could post it and we'll see. We had simple maintenance program forms (SIHP) before. They were easy. The new IHPs, however, are more complex.

I did submit an IHP for a 15B a few days ago after having incorporated the LBA´s review findings. Once approved I´ll upload it to the media section of this great portal, so anybody can use it as a template.
