 Gear door replacement - 2008/10/17 00:23 I need to remove and repair or replace the gear doors on an ASW-15a. Does anyone have experience and a description of how to remove and re-install the doors?

Welcome at the ASW 15 website.

To get the best result, turn over the fuselage. Remove the wheel and next drill out the nails. Be sure not to use to much force, you could slip with the drill or go to deep.

repairable. Whatever Happen,s you will be able to fix it. You have two choices, remove the doors from the hinges (which is what I recently did), or remove the doors and hinges from the fuselage.

 Re:Gear door replacement - 2008/10/20 23:20 Thanks for the input. As I dont have access to the aircraft in question yet, can you tell me how the doors are attached to the hinges? Bolts that are easily removable or will I need to drill out some other type of permanant attachment method?
