Early solo machine? - 2004/08/10 04:32 Any body out there like to comment on the suitability (or otherwise) of the ASW15b as an early Solo/(Pre-Bronze in UK) aircraft?

Re:Early solo machine? - 2004/08/12 04:32 The 15 was used by several clubs as an early solo glider. In my opinion it's not recommended to make your first solo in it. (see other posts in this forum) But after some good solo flights, you can fly the 15 for sure. It's an easy plane to fly.

I come with a power pilot back ground (27 years).
I purchased my ASW-15 when I had 32 flights.
After 5 flights in our clubs Grob 103 and 5 flights
in our clubs PW-5, I found the transition to the
ASW-15 manageable. I find her, the ASW-15
quite slippery on tow............Great forum.
